Our challenging course attracts all levels of golfers from social higher handicappers to scratch players. During the season we have a comprehensive programme of club competitions in which all members with handicaps are welcome to participate.
Outside of Club competitions we field 3 teams to play against other clubs. Our low handicap golfers successfully compete in a scratch team league and the Men's section also have 2nd and 3rd teams named the ‘Charnwood Rocks' that play a programme of friendlies against other clubs across the county throughout the season.
Charnwood also has a thriving and very active Under 35 section that won the 2019 County U35 Championship at their first attempt! A brilliant result by all involved.
You will find members just ask you to join them, often as you play. We appreciate how difficult it can be for new members to get involved in a new club, so we operate a buddy system to help you meet and play with others if you wish. Turning up on our Tuesday Club night during the playing season is also a great way of getting to know other members where the focus is on fun, but sometimes competitive golf!
The Men's Captain organisers an away weekend each year where Members are invited to play three rounds of golf and spend a couple of nights away at a premier course in the country. Golf is the main priority but lots of socializing is on the cards once the golf is completed!
If you would like to join then please fill out the application form which can be found under the Subscriptions heading.
